This drawing, discovered in Ellingshire Cathedral during its 1965 restoration, shows a serf criticizing his feudal lord with a large banner. It reads, "I prey yow, that ye kisse myn ers, olde cuckold." In Modern English, this would roughly translate to, "Would you mind kissing my ass, old cuckold?" Several other drawings and texts about the same lord were found in the cathedral, most implying that his codpiece was considerably larger than its contents.
